Clinical Significance
BCR-ABL1 p190 fusion gene is detected mostly in paediatric acute lymphocytic leukemia. The presence of this fusion gene is associated with unfavorable prognosis. BRC-ABL1 p210 fusion gene is detected in chronic myeloid leukemia and in acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia blast crisis phases of chronic myeloid leukemia.
