Clinical Significance
Chromosomal translocations involving the MLL gene located on 11q23 are implicated in various types of acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia. MLL-AF4 fusion gene; t(4;11) (q22;q23) is one of the common translocations seen in infant leukemia.
